ALLSA Congress

Welcome

Dear Delegate

We invite you not to miss out on the “Advances in Allergy & Paediatrics” meeting.

A strategic partnership between ALLSA & the PMG will bring up to date and practical learning to all healthcare workers who are involved in allergy and paediatric medicine.

A number of esteemed international and local speakers will add substance to the programme. Their brief is to definitely offer the latest advances in their specialities to practitioners who need to be able to apply new knowledge to their daily practice.

We selected the venue to comfortably accommodate a large meeting, while also catering for social excitement, at a time when we need to be cost-wise. The commitment from the pharmaceutical industry is encouraging and we can expect a showcase of latest developments.

We are confident that this will be a meeting to remember. You are invited to be part of it!

Best regards
André van Niekerk & Andrew Halkas

Message from PMG

Through the last few years the PMG has grown to represent the majority of Paediatricians in Private Practice. We have become the voice of Paediatricians, representing the members at all levels of private practice dealing with Funders, SAPPF, SAMA & the Regulatory Authorities (such as DoH,& CMS).

We have identified the need for appropriate Continuing Medical Education that is easy to attend for those in private practice. To this end we have arranged regular weekends in which CMEs have been presented. For the first time we have partnered with another group; ALLSA, which has many common interests as our group.

We look forward to a cross over of ideas to both groups that will improve the understanding of disease & enhance patient care.

The PMG has also interacted with the MPS following increased litigation against paediatricians especially those who care for neonates. The MPS has kindly offered to present medico-legal workshops as well as an International Speaker.

We look forward to a wonderful congress, interactions with friends, colleagues and the pharmaceutical industry.

Kind regards
Humphrey Lewis
